In response to Neil Patel blog post which landed in our email 6/07/17 here at Girlfridayz titled Should You Create a Company or Personal Blog? prick our curiosity and see what Neil Patel recommend and think.
Here is Neil Patel excerpt we discussing in this article
"What if you have zero brand equity?
After reading about these three examples, you may be saying that of course having a personal blog works for executives and business leaders.
They’re already well-established, and people are naturally interested in what they have to say.
But what if you’re a nobody starting completely from scratch?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to opt for a company blog so you can build your reputation?
I definitely see the logic behind this point. I really do.
But the way I look at it, you can still build up your business, generate leads, boost conversions, and all that good stuff with a personal blog."(Neil Patel, 2017)
Well I am afraid that the people Neil Patel describing in his paragraph which make logical sense to him are all suffer from Nepotism in a sense that they would not found remotely interesting a person who does not have a social status or professional status or even lots of money, which sadden us at Girlfridayz because we believe that everyone as something interesting to say.
Here what we believe in at Girlfridayz it is all in this fantastic video
It may not be your cup of tea or it may not be the best thing since slice bread and it can comes from anybody, hence listening to people is key, as you do not know what they can teach you at any age from the time we can speak and reason. Your title his only a title, your achievement is only your achievement, your money is only your money all these three examples does not defined who you are as a person or your action as a person, or a person which is either good or bad.
Reputation is a tricky one because you can be a big business, well known for your bad reputation and yet still have a huge following, lots of customers and you can have a very good reputation and a big business, well known, lots of customers. As a reputation is a widespread belief that someone or something has a particular characteristic.
In another word do not confuse self-love and Narcissism which are two different thing as Narcissism have varied degree from very mild to extreme and the extreme version is classified as having a mental health disorder. But many people are Narc to some extent and does not have a mental health imbalance.
As self-love is been content with the work-in-progress that we are and not seek the approval of others, comparing yourself only to who you were in the past and not to others, not thinking you are better than anyone else, and take reasonable care of you for you.
At Girlfridayz in term of Digital Marketing and SEO Neil Patel knows is stuff very well and we tends to follows him and subscribe to him too as most of his post content are good and on cue when it regarding Marketing.
However it also confirmed our thought of him as a person as when we read his bio on his blog, we thought this kind of recommendation might have gone to his head, because this is really brilliant and a very good achievement in someone life and he maybe bit pretentious but to what extent we wondered.
"He is a New York Times best selling author. The Wall Street Journal calls him a top influencer on the web, Forbes says he is one of the top 10 marketers, and Entrepreneur Magazine says he created one of the 100 most brilliant companies. He was recognized as a top 100 entrepreneur under the age of 30 by President Obama and a top 100 entrepreneur under the age of 35 by the United Nations."
So we could clearly linked his logical thought and what make sense to him that if you are not well-establish and well known you are a "nobody", which is what some highly successful people with an inflated sense of self will think of others who does not match his status or highly successful status hence becoming by default uninteresting people.
Conclusion
In Girlfridayz view these people there are missing something we know what it is at Girlfridayz do you know?
